There’s plenty to look forward to this Saturday as Hampton Rovers return to Boss James Reserve for one of the biggest days of the season, both on and off the field.
Fresh from a memorable weekend where all five senior teams recorded victories, the club will be aiming to carry that momentum into another important round of VAFA football.
The Senior Men host Old Peninsula and after a convincing 68-point win over PEGS last weekend, the Rovers will be looking to strengthen their position inside the top four as the race towards finals continues. The Reserves get the day underway at 11:40am, before the Seniors take the field at 2:00pm.
The Under 19s kick off the action at 9:20am against De La Salle and will be looking for another win after last weeks impressive performance, in what is the first of a triple-header of football at Boss James Reserve.
Over at Castlefield Reserve, the Thirds / Dev Team take on MHSOB at 9:20am for 4 x 22m quarters of action, while the Senior Women travel to Ferndale Park for a 10:00am clash with St Mary’s Salesian as they look to build on last week’s hard-fought victory over UHS-VU.
Hampton Rovers Football Club will band together for road safety this weekend, with players across all five senior teams wearing blue armbands as part of the 2026 TAC Road Safety Round. Find out more here >
Off the field, it promises to be just as big a day.
Past Players Day returns, with Rovers from every era invited back to the club for the popular Home Game Luncheon (12-2pm) before the afternoon’s football. It’s always a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with former teammates, coaches, officials and supporters while celebrating the club’s rich history. The bar remains open inside all day so we welcome anyone to drop in throughout the afternoon. Book your spot for the lunch here >
The festivities continue after the final siren with the return of the club’s annual $2K Night from 6:00pm. One of Hampton Rovers’ biggest fundraisers of the year, the evening includes three hours of beer, wine and soft drinks, dinner, and the chance to win the $2,000 major prize. Buy your tickets here >
Whether you’re coming for the football, the luncheon, the evening celebrations, or all three, we’re looking forward to seeing a big crowd at the Boss for what promises to be a fantastic day for the club.
