Rovers return from the bye with important round 12 clashes

After a weekend off, Hampton Rovers return to VAFA action on Saturday with all five teams back on the field, including the Senior Men away at PEGS and the Senior Women at Boss James Reserve.

The Rovers Senior Men travel to PEGS Sporting Fields to take on PEGS in Round 12 of the Premier C season. With the Rovers sitting inside the top four and looking to build momentum heading into the second half of the year, every match is crucial as the race for finals begins to heat up.

The Reserves kick things off at the later time of 12:05pm, before the Senior Men take centre stage at 2:15pm.

NOTE FOR THOSE ATTENDING PEGS: Due to school games prior, both start times have been pushed back. There will be no access to the PEGS Playing Fields via the main gate (Wright Rd) prior to midday. Instead, players and supporters must enter the facility via Butler Way entrance (view map here). The Reserves will use different change rooms prior to their game. The main gate can be used for access after midday.

At Boss James Reserve, the Thirds / development team open proceedings against the social media influencers Wattle Park at 9:45am, before the Senior Women host UHS-VU at 1:00pm. The women will be looking to continue their encouraging improvement after a number of strong performances in recent weeks, while the second-placed Thirds are looking to continue their strong form as they approach finals. The bar will be open at the club for players and supporters following the women’s game.

The Under 19s travel to Princes Park (Caulfield South) to take on Old Haileybury at 9:20am, looking to continue their development in Division 1 following their promotion earlier in the season.
