The Hampton Rovers AGM was held Monday evening to sign-off on what has been a harsh season for everyone, while the Annual Report is now available for members to download.
The 91st Annual General Meeting for the Hampton Rovers was held virtually for the first time, with members tuning-in on Zoom to hear how the club performed during a year with no footy.
Thankfully, it was good news, with the club posting a modest profit, despite the many challenges and reduction of revenue streams due to Covid-19.
This was made possible by the generous support of so many including our 60 financial club members in 2020, player subs (both full and discounted), donations including the weekly raffles, and of course our sponsors – most significantly our major sponsor – Buxton Sandringham. This places the club in a sound position ahead of the 2021 season.
From a senior committee and board point of view, there is plenty of stability which is great to see – the committee for the senior section of the club remains unchanged heading into 2021, under the guidance of President Gary Nash, while Stephen Anderson will continue as Chairman of the Board. Rohan Bardwell continues as Junior President and he’s got some new faces on board for what will be a big and exciting season for the club next year.
The Annual Report may be a third of its usual size, but still contains most of the usual reports including senior and junior president’s reports, senior football report, treasurers report, financials, and listing our wonderful members, sponsors and player sponsors this year. The AGM can be watched on-demand here. If you hadn’t registered already, you’ll need to do so first to gain access.
We thank everyone for their fantastic support in 2021 and look forward to seeing you back at the Boss soon!
The club is still on the hunt for an U19 coach for the 2021 VAFA season. If you or someone you know is interested in leading the Premiership-winning team, click here for further details.
