The club is terribly sad to hear of the passing of Greg Taylor,
who passed away in the early hours of Friday 11th October.
Greg captained the 1971 Rovers U19 premiership
team and played senior football for the club for many years. He remained a
great supporter of the club, regularly attending matches and was a 2019 club
member.
He was on hand to watch the 2019 U19 Premiership and was incredibly impressed with the performance by the boys. Following the game, he was the first supporter back at the club and put money over the bar for the players.
He loved our club with a passion and will be sorely missed.
The club passes its condolences onto Greg’s family.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Mr. Gregory (Greg) Taylor will be held in the Boyd Chapel at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Princes Highway, Springvale on FRIDAY (Oct. 25th, 2019) commencing at 12.30pm. A wake will follow at Hotel Brighton.
