With the Seniors having the week off, all attention is on the Hampton Rovers U19s who play Oakleigh in the Preliminary Final Saturday morning. A win will lock in a Grand Final date, along with the Seniors, next Saturday.
The young Rovers are on fire. After slumping to 3-6 after nine rounds, John Cesario’s side has won their past 10 matches including last week’s Semi Final over De La Salle. A win on Saturday will make it 11 and send them through to the season decider.
The two teams last met in the final round of the home & away season, with the Rovers winning on that occasion by 6 points. Oakleigh were defeated by Ormond last weekend.
Saturday’s match commences at 9:15am at Meade Reserve, Haughton Road, Clayton.
The club encourages all supporters to get along, wear green & gold and cheer the boys on to a Grand Final berth.
Updates will also be available on the Rovers Twitter account – @HRAFC.
