The Hampton Rovers will host their annual Women’s Luncheon this Saturday at Boss James Reserve, with the club once again proudly supporting Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) as part of Pink Sports Day 2026.
Set for Saturday May 9, the luncheon will begin with a 12pm arrival for a 12:30pm start inside the Wright-Scarlett Pavilion, ahead of the senior men’s Round 4 clash against PEGS at 2:00pm.
The event has become a key fixture on the Rovers calendar, with the club having supported BCNA for almost a decade through its Pink Sports Day initiatives. This year, the goal is to raise $2,500 through raffles and auction items, generously donated by supporters and sponsors.
More than 100 guests are expected to attend, with strong demand already building following the success of the opening home game luncheons this season. Supporters are encouraged to book early to avoid missing out.
At just $40 per head, or included as part of a 2026 Club Membership, the luncheon offers outstanding value while supporting an important cause.
Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women, with more than 20,000 people expected to be diagnosed this year, along with over 200 men. The impact extends well beyond those diagnosed, affecting families, friends, workplaces and communities.
By hosting a Pink Sports Day, the Hampton Rovers aim to raise awareness and funds, while recognising the important role women play across the club and the broader football community.
We thank the following who’ve donated items for Saturday’s function:
- Wild soul
- Somerside
- Sebastian’s Food and Wine
- Sandy Golf Links
- L’Oréal
- Sandy By The Bay Steakhouse
- Zambrero Hampton
Those unable to attend can still support the cause by making a donation via the club’s Pink Sports Day fundraising page.
With a big crowd expected, a great afternoon planned, and an important cause at the centre of it, it promises to be another standout day at Boss James Reserve and we encouraged everyone to get behind this important cause.
