The club is pleased to announce the appointing of Paul Golding as Senior Men’s Reserves Coach for the 2024 season.
Paul is known to many around the club, having been involved in the juniors over several years as a coach and previously at East Sandringham since 2015. This year he coached the Rovers Under 14’s, completing three years as coach of that group.
He’s also been involved at the Sandringham Dragons as a development coach for the U16’s, SMJFL interleague team and St Kilda Next Gen Academy development coach.
Paul grew up playing country footy at Heyfield and Bruthen, before playing locally at Old Mentonians and Superules at Parkdale and Bayside Saints.
He takes the reigns from Joel Emmins who’s done an outstanding job as Reserves Coach over the past couple of years and will work in closely with new Rovers Senior Coach Marty Pask.
Paul’s wife Sarah Golding from Bayside Sports Physio has also already helped out the club with Physio services and on that note, the club is actively seeking sports trainers for the 2024 season – find out more details here.
Pre-Season Training has commenced, and we welcome all new and existing players. Sessions are being held at Brighton Secondary College (Dendy St, Brighton) starting at 6:30pm. For the next two weeks – Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, before reverting back to Monday’s and Wednesday’s, through until December 20. Details here.
