AGM Wrap as Nash takes reigns

The 2018 Hampton Rovers AGM was held Monday evening at Boss James Reserve with Gary Nash elected as new senior president for the club’s 90th year.

After doing a fantastic job over three years, Steve Anderson has had to step down from the top job due to family and work commitments, having relocated down the coast this year. He’ll step into the role of Chairman of the Board for 2019, taking over from Gerrard Woods.

As most would know, Gary Nash is one of those people in which the club would struggle without his involvement. With Steve indicating he would need to step down and no one putting up their hand to fill the void, it was Gary who again showed how selfless he is and demonstrating his love of the club, stepping in to take the role. Anthony Naumoff has recommitted as senior secretary.

Great to have a full senior committee including four new members – Andrew McGregor as vice president, Miranda Marron as U19 team representative, Nick Jewell looking after merchandise and Sean Crisp in a general role. The club thanks Amy Clements and Vincent Camera for their contribution on the committee.

Steve’s President’s report as well as the financials, team reports and all other reports are now available in the 2018 Annual Report available on the Rovers website here.

In 2019, the Hampton Rovers Football Club will celebrate 90 years – a major milestone for the club. A sub-committee will be formed, representing the various eras, to plan and execute a number of activities to mark this occasion. We encourage past players and officials and current members to get involved as we celebrate our great club.
