This Saturday, the Hampton Rovers Football Club hosts its traditional ANZAC game and Luncheon, this year with a new opponent in Brunswick (NOBS).
This year, ANZAC Day falls on a Wednesday and the Hampton Rovers Football Club will host its game the following Saturday – April 28.
It’s always a big day for the club and we encourage all supporters to get along to Boss James Reserve to pay their respects to the ANZAC’s and catch the second Rovers senior home game of the 2018 season. This year, the focus of the Luncheon will be the Vietnam War and there are a number of guests arranged for the day. The ANZAC Day ceremony will be staged on the ground prior to the main game at around 1:50pm.
The Luncheon will commence at 12pm sharp on Saturday. The cost is just $30 per head which includes lunch with drinks available at bar prices. As of Friday morning, there are already 85+ people booked in, so it’s heading towards being a bumper event. Club Members can gain free entrance however you must still RSVP prior to the day. Both the Seniors and Reserves are undefeated and sit on top of the ladder and will be looking for another win in front of the Boss James faithful.
Also, details are currently being finalised for the 2018 Ladies Day Luncheon, to be held on Saturday 12th May – the day prior to Mother’s Day. This year, the lunch is being organised by our Women’s team, so save the date and keep an eye out for details!
