Pre-Season Training for men’s and women’s gets back underway Monday evening at Boss James Reserve. We welcome all new and existing players as we prepare for the 2018 VAFA season.
The men’s sides will get underway at 6pm while the women’s start later at 6:30pm. A reminder that no footy boots are allowed at this time of year so please wear runners.
Training will continue each Monday and Wednesday at Boss James Reserve unless otherwise advised.
Prior to Christmas, training got underway in mid-November with good numbers in attendance. As always, we encourage everyone to get along to help make 2018 a successful season and we welcome all new and existing players to the club.
The players have been running their own sessions to keep fit in the lead-up to the official start of pre-season training, with Christian Carnovale, Josh Pavlou, Cowboy and Dibba amongst those leading the sessions.
In 2018, the club plans to field eight teams in the VAFA: Seniors, Reserves, Thirds, Under 19 One’s & Two’s and Women’s Seniors & Reserves.
Two practice matches have been locked in with the Rovers taking on SFNL sides St Pauls on March 17 and Mordialloc on March 24. Venues for both games are TBC.
Player registrations are now open for the 2018 season while player clearances open on February 1. For all the details and to register online now – visit the registrations page.
The 2018 VAFA season commences on April 7 with the Seniors hosting Kew at Boss James Reserve.
