At last Sunday’s 2015 South Metro Junior Football League Awards, the Hampton Rovers Football Club received the award for Best Conducted Club.
During the season, the umpires graded each club on the behaviour of the players, umpires and parents from each club.
Hampton Rovers were the only club who received a perfect score during the year with none of our members receiving a poor rating.
The club is pleased to have such a fantastic parent group and an amazing group of kids. Well done to everyone involved!
Also at the awards, the club had five boys finish in the top three in their respective age groups while we had one winner. Congratulations to the following:
Luke Nixon-Smith – 3rd in the Under 11 age group.
Zac Ziesing – 3rd in the Under 11 age group.
Baxter Pace – 1st in the Under 12 age group.
Hamish Styring – 2nd in the Under 14 age group.
Anthony Folino – 3rd in the Under 16 age group.
It’s been a great season for the club with two Premierships, highlighted by the Under 16 division 1 success after the final siren, receiving plenty of attention in the media.
The club looks forward to an even bigger and better year in 2016.
