Over the school holidays, the Rovers Academy took place for those kids keen to have some fun and brush up on their AFL skills.
On a very miserable, cold, wet and windy day at Boss James Reserve, it was really encouraging that over 65 children were in attendance. All seemingly appreciating the complementary sausage in bread and can of drink provided by ‘The Roverians‘ on completion of training.
A big thanks to Steve Kennedy (Snr Assistant Coach) for organising the day with great assistance from Guy Martin (Senior Coach) and Kyle Pinto (Senior Player). This is the second year the Rovers Academy has been offered to our local children. Very generous of these gentlemen to give up significant time in preparation and on the day.
A huge thanks to the Seniors for driving this initiative. Particularly, Steve, Guy and Kyle. Thanks too, to the Roverians for providing the food.
