Rovers raise $12,000 for the Salvo’s

The Hampton Rovers Football Club participated in the Annual Red Shield Appeal over the weekend. This offered members the opportunity to not only get behind the Salvo’s, but to be part of transforming the lives of people right around the country.
The Under 9’s, 10’s, 11’s & 12’s took part in the door knock and the Seniors rattled tins at a number of local intersections. Everyone involved should be very proud of their efforts, resulting in the raising of just under $12,000.
In the 13 years Hampton Rovers have been involved in the Red Shield Appeal, the Club has now raised over $100,000 to support the great work of the Salvo’s in supporting those in need.
Special thanks to Captain’s Brenda & Kelvin Young, Belinda Bacon and Fiona Wilson for co-ordinating the Juniors and 45 year veteran of the Club Bill Mirabito for organising.
Well done everyone for showing through action, that Hampton Rovers truly is a "Community Club".
