Rovers academy a first-up success

The inaugural Hampton Rovers FC Academy was a great success on Thursday with around 40 kids attending the session at Boss James Reserve.

The junior players got involved in a number of skills sessions while hearing how they can progress their football career and aim to play at higher levels in the future.

The Academy was put on by the seniors with senior assistant coach Steve Kennedy organising the day. He was assisted by senior coach Guy Martyn, vice-captain Daniel Corp and other senior players.

This was the first of several sessions with details of future events to be promoted on the Hampton Rovers website.
