In my role as Junior President of the Hampton Rovers Football Club, I have had the opportunity to meet many good community minded people but none with the vigour, enthusiasm and inclusive nature that Felicity Frederico contains.
Felicity’s infectious attitude ensured a newly introduced girls football team at Hampton Rovers was not only successful in winning the SMJFL lightning premiership, but more importantly as the season evolved more girls joined which is a far better measure of success.
Felicity’s ability to engage people at every level of the community provided the girls and the entire club with national exposure via television, newspapers and the Internet.
Felicity has also been instrumental in the addition of new lights at Castlefield that will be put in over the summer months and has been a vocal advocate for the development of facilities for all sports organisations in the Bayside area.
Felicity has been a Councillor representing the Bayside Central Ward for the past four years and is currently standing for a second term in this role. Hampton Rovers is not the only sporting organisation in the Bayside area that will benefit from Felicity receiving the primary vote for a second term as her community involvement spreads well past sports organisation touching on many community groups.
With the support of Hampton Rovers, Felicity will be able to continue her commitment to ensuring the community benefits, so if you live in the central ward please consider Felicity as your kids will benefit with the continued development of local facilities and a voice for our kids.
Regards,
Brett Yorgey – Junior President
