Our Under 16 Division 1 team remains undefeated for the 2011 year, and heads into the Grand Final on September 4 full of confidence. Ron and John will no doubt ensure they reinforce the importance of keeping an eye on the big game.
In a sensational result for the club, both Under 12 teams have progressed to the Grand Final for their respective divisions. The Under 12 West team came back from a 5 goal deficiet at half time to overhaul a team they had not beaten all year to progress to next weeks Grand Final.
The Under 12 North team overcome their opponent in the last quarter in a torrid andf tough affair, finally overcoming a team that until last week had been undefeated all year. A great time to knock off a worthy opponent, with a Grand Final against East Brighton next week.
The Under 15 Division 1 team fought hard against unbeaten East Malvern, and now head into a Preliminary Final against arch-rival East Brighton. The boys will be going as hard as possible to earn another crack at East Malvern in the Grand Final.
After a sensational season, with debut coach (at least for the Rovers) John Mair, the Under 11 boys bowed out of the competition in their preliminary final. A great season with a huge improvement on 2010, and the boys will be loiking to continue their improvement in 2012.
