The 2010 VAFA Fixture has been released with the Hampton Rovers opening their B Section campaign away at Old Essendon. The Rovers will look to get off to a good start with four of the opening six games at Boss James Reserve.
The 2010 season for A and B Sections will get underway on Saturday 10th April, while other sections will start the following weekend. The Rovers have traditionally commenced the season at home but Matt Robbins first game in charge will be away against one of the two sides relegated from the top section.
Round two will see the Hampton Rovers face local rivals Old Haileybury in a blockbuster at Boss James Reserve. Its the first of two consecutive home games with the Rovers hosting Old Ivanhoe. Round five sees Hampton and Oakleigh lock horns once more in what has developed into a big rivalry. Following that away game, the Rovers are back home for two more games, against University Blacks and St Bernards.
Another highlight of the 2010 season will be Round 11 which is being promoted by the AFL has Community Footy Weekend. The Hampton Rovers will host Oakleigh in what will no doubt be a big clash at Boss James Reserve.
The Rovers complete the home and away season at home against St Kevins Old Boys. It promises to be an exciting year for the Rovers in B Section with pre-season going very strong and a great feeling amongst the squad and new senior coach Matt Robbins.

-Promoted from C Section: Oakleigh, Melbourne High.

Prior to the season proper, the Rovers will play practice games against Ocean Grove Football Club, coached by Cameron McGregor, (13/03/2010 Away) followed by EFL side Donvale and Ajax (21/03/2010 & 28/03/2010 both at Mentone Grammar, Keysborough).
Under 19 and Thirds fixtures will be released by the VAFA early in 2010.
