The Hampton Rovers have had an exceptional year in the junior ranks, this continued Tuesday night with a further three players featuring in the MSJFL Best & Fairest Awards. Fresh from 3 premierships on Sunday, the curtain closes this Sunday with the U14s playing in the season decider.
Tuesday night the Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League held its 2008 Best & Fairest vote count for the Under 14s to Under 17s. As has been the trend so far this year Hampton Rovers Footballers have excelled. Once again it is extremely pleasing to announce the following:
- Ed Turner Winner of the Under 17 Division 1 Best & Fairest
- Matt Care came 3rd in the Under 15 Division 3 Best & Fairest
- Alex Woltering Winner of the Under 14 Division 1 Best & Fairest
This is in addition to the following players who featured at the U11-U13 MSJFL vote count last week:
- James Taylor equal Winner of the Under 11 South Best & Fairest
- Lachlan McPherson Winner of the Under 11 West Best & Fairest
- Nicholas Pavlou 3rd in the Under 11 West Best & Fairest
- Martin Ho Winner of the Under 12 South Best & Fairest
- Christian Salem 4th in the Under 13 East Best & Fairest
These players are to be congratulated on their individual achievements – what an outstanding accomplishment. A special mention to Ed Turner – a great accomplishment winning the league best & fairest for the best division in the MSJFL. He along with all these players have a great future ahead at the Rovers.
Fresh from three junior premierships last Sunday (U11W, U12S, U13E), the Hampton Rovers Under 14 Div1 team plays off for the flag this Sunday at Moorleigh Reserve (vs Beaumaris, 9am).
