It’s another important weekend for the Hampton Rovers, with all five teams in action and a blockbuster Premier C clash awaiting the Senior Men at Boss James Reserve. It’s also the second-last home game luncheon of the season – book now.
Fresh off a dominant 138-point victory over Old Peninsula, the Senior Men host Mazenod in a match that could have a significant bearing on the race for finals. The two sides enter the weekend equal on the ladder, making this one of the biggest games of the season as the Rovers continue their push for a coveted top-two finish and the double chance.
The Rovers will take confidence from their last meeting earlier this season, producing one of their best performances of the year to defeat Mazenod by 47 points on their home ground. Another four-quarter effort will be needed against what shapes as another quality opponent.
The Reserves also take on Mazenod at Boss James Reserve, while the Thirds / development team open the day’s action against Beaumaris. Elsewhere, the Senior Women travel to Waverley Oval to face De La Salle, and the Under 19s head to Elsternwick Park for an afternoon clash with Old Melburnians.
