The Hampton Rovers Football Club is proud to congratulate Anton Duddy, Neil Hope and Rohan Bardwell, who have each been awarded Life Membership during 2026 in recognition of their outstanding service and dedication to the green and gold.
Collectively, they have devoted decades to Hampton Rovers as players, coaches, administrators, volunteers and leaders, leaving a lasting impact on generations of Rovers both on and off the field. Their Life Memberships are a fitting recognition of their exceptional contributions to our club.
Anton Duddy
Anton Duddy was presented with Life Membership at Sunday’s Past Players Lunch, recognising almost 30 years of involvement with Hampton Rovers.
Anton’s journey began as a junior before progressing through the ranks to become one of the club’s most respected players and volunteers. His playing career featured many highlights, most notably a remarkable achievement that remains unique in the club’s history. He remains the only player to have won premierships at Under 17, Under 19, Reserves and Senior level for Hampton Rovers.
His list of on-field achievements also includes being Best on Ground in the 1999 Under 19 Premiership, reaching 250 VAFA games, winning the 2014 Reserves Best & Fairest, and playing almost 300 senior club games.
Away from the field, Anton has continued to give back in countless ways. He has served on the club’s player recruitment and retention committee, coached the reserves, mentored junior teams, and today plays a leading role in the future of the club as Director of Junior Coaching and Junior Co-President. He also continues the family connection to Hampton Rovers with son Callan now proudly wearing the green and gold.
Anton embodies everything Hampton Rovers stands for through his loyalty, passion and willingness to serve the club across generations. His Life Membership is a fitting recognition of an extraordinary contribution.
Neil Hope
Earlier this season, Neil Hope was awarded Life Membership during the club’s Round 6 Home Game Luncheon against Marcellin.
Neil has provided outstanding service to Hampton Rovers over many decades, both on and off the field. A former Reserves captain and Best & Fairest winner during the 1980s, he has remained a constant presence around the club long after his playing days, attending home games and always lending a hand wherever needed.
His unwavering support and lifelong commitment have made him a much-loved member of the Hampton Rovers community.
Rohan Bardwell
Life Membership was also awarded to Rohan Bardwell at Sunday’s ‘At Home with the Rovers’ event.
Rohan has made an enormous contribution to the juniors over many years through his involvement with Auskick, junior coaching, committee service and his time as Junior President. His leadership and dedication have helped shape the junior program and create a welcoming environment for countless young players and families.
The club also acknowledges the wonderful support of his wife Liz and son Seb, whose involvement has been an important part of the Hampton Rovers community.
