A significant milestone will occur this Saturday, when Mandy Naylor creates history by becoming the first player to reach 100 Senior Women’s games for the Hampton Rovers.
Mandy is Hampton Rovers through and through, having a long family history with the club. She started her involvement as a club trainer, before being able to play for the club when women’s football was introduced in the VAFA.
She played in the first ever VAFA Women’s game, which the Hampton Rovers Football Club proudly hosted under lights at Boss James Reserve in 2017 against Ormond.
Mandy is an integral part of the Football Club, both on and off the field, who bleeds Green and Gold. She is fearless on the field, leads by example, is very competitive and fiercely determined. Mandy is versatile, able to play many different roles in the team.

She is a premiership player for the Rovers, who has captained the team in past, including in the 2022 premiership year, and is a runner-up Best and Fairest award winner.
Rovers Senior Women’s co-coach Brent Ward said, “Mandy is an old school footballer who party’s hard and plays footy even harder. Mighty Mandy is a fearsome warrior on the field, so exciting to watch and a brilliant team leader and premiership captain. An all-round champion person on and off the ground who we feel greatly privileged to have as a team mate and friend.”
The Hampton Rovers Senior Women host Richmond Central at Castlefield Reserve this Saturday, commencing at 10am. Get along early to show your support! After the game, get back to Boss James Reserve for the Round 13 Home Game Luncheon where Mandy’s milestone will be formally recognised and celebrated – book online here. Also get down to the club on Thursday evening for a special selection night.
The club congratulates Mandy on reaching this significant milestone!
