The Rovers return to Boss James Reserve for just their second home game of the 2023 season on Saturday, hosting the in-form PEGS FC. Final bookings now being taken for the Luncheon.
PEGS (formerly Old Essendon) have had a strong start to their campaign, undefeated after being promoted from Division 1 after claiming the flag last year. The Rovers will be looking to get their season going after having a slow start, with just the one victory, albeit two tight losses.
The Seniors begin at 2:00pm, with the Reserves at 11:40am.
At the Home Game Luncheon, we’ll be celebrating 10 years since the 2013 Senior Premiership. The cost is just $30 per head (or included in 2023 Club Membership) for what is the best Luncheon in the VAFA! 12 midday for a 12:30pm start, with the bar open until the end of half time of the Seniors (3:30pm) and re-opening after the game at 4:30pm. The Senior Women are also at home and looking for their third consecutive win after being promoted to division one – they host Hawthorn at Castlefield Reserve, Ludstone Street, at 10am. Elsewhere, the Thirds travel to Royal Park to take on West Brunswick at 9:20am, and the Under 19s face Old Melburnians at Elsternwick Park Oval 2 (Holmes/Todd Oval) at 2pm.
