Rovers v Ormond in ANZAC Home Game

Hampton Rovers host arch-rivals Ormond at Boss James Reserve on Saturday in the annual ANZAC Day game, featuring the ANZAC Luncheon and on-ground ceremony. Book your seat for the Luncheon ASAP.

It’s set to be a big day at Boss James Reserve, with a triple-header commencing with the unfurling of the Senior Women’s Premiership flag prior to their game vs Old Camberwell at 9:20am, followed by the Men’s Reserves and Seniors.

It’s the first home game for the Seniors after recording their first victory away last week at Bulleen – a 20-point victory over Marcellin in wet conditions. Hampton & Ormond will compete for the Buxton Cup, with the best player on ground awarded the Barnes Medal.

It’s always a big day at the Boss, with an on-ground ANZAC Day ceremony prior to the main game (at 1:45pm), featuring the Ode of Remembrance and Last Post. Prior to this, there will be special guests in attendance at the annual Hampton Rovers ANZAC Home Game Luncheon.

The cost for the Luncheon is just $30 per head (or included in 2023 Club Membership) for what is undoubtably the best Luncheon in the VAFA. Commencing at 12:00pm, with the bar open throughout the day. Book online here or contact Gary Nash directly on 0407 313 054.

The club invites everyone to get along, with a special invitation for all ex-service people as we pay our respects to the ANZAC’s.
