Hampton Rovers host Monash Blues in a top-of-the-table clash at Boss James Reserve on Saturday. Book in now for the Home Game Luncheon!
After last week’s impressive victory over Mazenod and the win earlier in the season over Monash, the Rovers will be looking to gain an advantage ahead of the 2022 VAFA Finals Series with another victory on Saturday.
Christian Carnovale will lead the boys out for what is the second-last home game of the Premier C season, and what a game we have in store! A win would put the Rovers on equal points with Monash, while Monash have a bye in the final round of the season.
The Rovers Home Game Luncheon is on inside the Wright-Scarlett Pavilion and we invite all supporters along for what is always a great occasion. The cost is just $30 per head (or included in your 2022 club membership) for a sensational meal from our five-star catering team. 12pm for a 12:30pm start, with the bar open until the end of half time of the seniors game. The Reserves kick-off proceedings at 11:40am, before the Seniors commence at 2:00pm. Follow the Rovers on social media for updates throughout the day. The U19s take on Mazenod at 9:20am at Central Reserve.
There’s a significant milestone on Saturday with club legend Lachie Wheeler breaking the Rovers games record, when he runs out for his 353rd game in the green & gold in the Reserves, surpassing Barry Bird. Lachie has been a long-time contributor both on and off the field and is a Life Member of the Rovers. Get along to show your support for Lachie – we’ll also get him up as a guest speaker at the Luncheon.
Then on Sunday, it’s the Senior Women’s Grand Final, as they take on Albert Park at Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham, commencing at 11:45am. The Rovers will be looking to complete the perfect season by knocking off the Falcons and remaining undefeated. All Rovers supporters are encouraged to get along to Sandy in green & gold to cheer the girls on! Afterwards, the bar will be open at Boss James Reserve.
