Hampton Rovers host UHS-VU at Boss James Reserve on Saturday in the annual ANZAC Day game, featuring the ANZAC Luncheon, in round 3 of the 2022 VAFA Premier C season. Book your spot now.
After starting the season with two strong wins, including a 58-point win over Old Ivanhoe away from home prior to the Easter break, the Rovers will be looking to continue their early season form against the bottom-placed University High School/Victoria Uni.
It’s always a big day at Boss James Reserve, with an on-ground ANZAC Day ceremony prior to the main game, featuring the Ode of Remembrance and Last Post. Prior to this, there will be special guests in attendance at the annual Hampton Rovers ANZAC Home Game Luncheon.
The cost for the Luncheon is just $30 per head (or included in 2022 Club Membership) for what is undoubtably the best Luncheon in the VAFA. Commencing at 12:30pm, with the bar open from midday, and open throughout the senior game. Book online here or contact Gary Nash directly on 0407 313 054.
It’s a huge day at the Boss, with a triple-header, featuring a Senior Women’s twilight game against Canterbury, following the Senior Men’s, kicking-off at 4:45pm. To start the day, the Reserves game will get underway at the earlier time of 11:25am.
The club invites everyone to get along, with a special invitation for all ex-service people as we pay our respects to the ANZAC’s.
Elsewhere on Saturday, the Under 19’s take on University Blacks at Crawford Oval at 9:20am and the Thirds face Prahran Assumption at Basil St Reserve at 11:40am.
