Opening Home Game Luncheon – Book Now

Footy makes its long-awaited return to the Boss this Saturday when the Rovers host Old Ivanhoe – book your spot now for the first Home Game Luncheon.

Saturday’s luncheon will be the first since August 31, 2019, and we’re building towards a good attendance after so long without one. Get in quick to secure your spot.

Our caterers – Scott and Luke from ASAT – are back for another year to deliver hands-down the best food of any luncheon in the Amateurs. And there’s a big change in 2021, after the VAFA relaxed their alcohol policy, with the bar now to remain open until the end of half time of the Seniors game.

The club has frozen our home game luncheon prices at just $30 per head – amazing value that cannot be beaten. Of course, if you’re a 2021 Club Member, then entry is included in your membership. SIGN UP HERE!

The Hampton Rovers now have in excess of 100 Club Members in 2021, all of which were given priority access to reserve a spot at the opening lunch – now bookings are open to all.

You can book online here or contact Gary Nash directly on 0407 313 054. You can pre-pay on the Rovers website or on the day upon arrival.

The Bar opens at 12 midday with sit-down for lunch at 12:30pm. Being the first home game luncheon of the season, we’ll hear from the President, Senior Coach and a couple of other speakers. Please ensure you check-in by scanning the QR code upon arrival for Covid contact-tracing purposes.

After a good showing during the pre-season, the club is excited ahead of the new season and it’s set to be a big day at Boss James Reserve on Saturday with a triple-header to kick things off.

First up at 9:20am, the Thirds take on Therry Penola, followed by the Reserves at 11:40am and Seniors at 2:00pm against Old Ivanhoe, who always prove to be a strong opponent. Last time the two teams met, they played out a thrilling 71-71 draw at the Boss.

Also on Saturday, the Senior Women open their season at home, taking on Oakleigh at 9:20am nearby at Castlefield Reserve, while the Under 19s travel to Stradbroke Park to face Old Xaverians, commencing at 11:40am.

We encourage all players and supporters to get back to Boss James Reserve for the Seniors game and into the rooms following the final siren, with the bar open, and match awards at 5:30pm.
