With the five-day snap lockdown in Victoria lifted at 11:59pm on Wednesday night, pre-season training will resume for senior teams on tonight (Thursday).
Pre-season training is currently being held Monday’s and Thursday’s from 6pm at Peterson Street Reserve, Highett Road, on the upper oval. All new and existing players welcome from all senior teams including the U19s and U17s.
Unfortunately, due to the lockdown, last weekend’s scheduled pre-season camp was cancelled and will not be re-scheduled. Players were due to depart Saturday for the two-day camp at Torquay. Players who paid for the camp will receive a refund.
The first practice game is scheduled for March 13 against Port Melbourne Colts, followed by games against Oakleigh Krushers and Parkdale Vultures the following two Saturday’s, while the 2021 VAFA season is scheduled to commence on April 10.
The 2021 Hampton Rovers Season Launch has been locked in for Sunday 28 March from 4pm at Hotel Brighton. Details to follow shortly.
