The VAFA has released the 2021 Premier C Fixture, with footy to return to the Boss on April 10, when the Rovers host Old Ivanhoe to open the season.
The fixture is a replica of last year’s draw which never went ahead due to Covid. See the full Hampton Rovers fixture below.
The Rovers will open and close out the home & away season at home, while four of the opening six games will also be played at Boss James Reserve.
The Buxton Cup between arch-rivals Rovers & Ormond will take place in rounds four (away) and 13 (home).
New to Premier C in 2021 is UHSVU and Preston Bullants (promoted from Division One) as well as Monash Blues and Old Geelong (relegated from Premier B).
Byes for all teams will be on June 12 (after round 9) and two consecutive weekends following round 12 on July 10 & 17. You can download the Rovers fixture to your calendar here.
Pre-season training is underway with excellent numbers and some handy players back in the green ‘n gold. It continues each Monday & Thursday at Peterson Street Reserve.
Three practice game have been locked in, firstly against Port Melbourne Colts on March 13, followed by games against Oakleigh Krushers and Parkdale Vultures the following two Saturday’s, while the Season Launch will take place on Sunday 28 March from 4pm at Hotel Brighton – tickets are now on sale.
