Pre-Season Training is back!

As Covid-19 restrictions continue to ease, we welcomed the return of Pre-Season Training for all five senior teams on Monday November 23.

It’s been a long and tough 2020 with no footy and months have passed since the last training session under the lights at Boss James Reserve. While Nathan has continued to provide training plans throughout lockdown, the players were finally able to reconnect as a group and have a kick together.

Numbers were strong, as expected, with around 50 players in attendance for our men’s teams, including several new players, all following the COVID rules in place – as outlined in the club’s COVID safety plan!

In line with Government guidelines and the easing of restrictions, the club has secured St James College (Bignell Rd, Bentleigh East) for our men’s teams, and Cheltenham Secondary College (Bernard St, Cheltenham) for our women’s team.

Training will continue each Monday and Wednesday, commencing at 6pm, through to December 9. We plan to end the year with a Christmas catch-up for players and members – details TBC.

All players are reminded to bring their own drink bottle and to adhere to COVID restrictions still in place, including social distancing, non-contact training and checking in upon arrival (scan QR code).

The club has developed a COVID Safe Plan and we encourage players to review the document..
