The club is sad to hear of the passing of John Cameron – a member of the 1951 A Section Premiership team.
John played 97 games for the Hampton Rovers Football Club – 15 in the U19 Section premiership years of 1947 and 1948 as well as 82 with the seniors from 1949 to 1955.
He was a member of the club’s only ever A Section Premiership team in 1951 and capped that off with the club Best & Fairest award in 1952.
He was clearly a big part of the club’s history and we send out condolences to his family.
