Seniors host Camberwell as Women play for spot in Grand Final

It’s a big weekend for the club with an absolute must-win game for the Seniors in the penultimate home game of the season on Saturday, while on Sunday, the Senior Women take on UHS-VU in the Preliminary Final at Keysborough.

Book your spot now for Saturday’s Home Game Luncheon. The club will celebrate the 10 year reunion of the 2009 Under 19 Premiership. Just $30 per head for the best lunch in the Ammo’s – don’t miss out – book now!

All four men’s teams are in action on Saturday, highlighted by the Seniors and Reserves at Boss James Reserve, against Old Camberwell.

The Seniors have struggled of late, with a plethora of unavailable players making life tough, however a few inclusions will help our cause, with five changes to the side, in what has been built up as a virtual Grand Final for the club. The Rovers currently sit third-bottom, 1.5 wins ahead of Old Camberwell. A win should all but cement Premier C action for 2020, while a loss will put all sorts of pressure on for the final three games of the season.

The Reserves are currently fifth on the ladder and must win to remain in the finals hunt. They commence at 11:40am, with the Seniors at 2:00pm. Get along and show your support – you can also follow the live scores on the Rovers website and updates on Twitter.

The Thirds make the trip to Bundoora to face Old Paradians at 11:40am, while the Under 19s are also on the road at the same time, facing Old Xaverians at Stradbroke Park.

The action continues on Sunday with a massive match for the Rovers Senior Women’s team. After a great win over Oakleigh in the Semi Final last weekend at the Boss, the Rovers take on UHS-VU this Sunday with the winner to advance to the Grand Final. The action kicks-off at 1:00pm, at the Mentone Grammar Playing Fields on Springvale Road in Keysborough. Entry is $10 and we encourage everyone to get along and cheer the girls on!

Meanwhile, the date has been confirmed for the 2019 Presentation Night – Friday 11th October at Sandy by the Bay. Save the date, with tickets on-sale soon. And the Domino Luncheon will return to the Boss on Friday 13th September – tickets on-sale now!

Also – the club is now selling Jane’s Match Beanie’s, with all funds going towards Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision. You can either purchase online now & collect from the club, or purchase at the club Saturday. $20 each.
