Hampton Rovers will take on rivals Oakleigh this Saturday at Sandringham’s Trevor Barker Oval in the VAFA Division One Preliminary Final.
The Rovers will be looking for a much-improved performance, after going down to Ormond by 29-points at Elsternwick Park on Saturday. Oakleigh won their way through to the Preliminary Final after holding off a strong-finishing Therry Penola by one point. A shot for goal after the siren missed to secure the Krushers spot in week two of the finals.
Trevor Barker Oval has been a happy hunting ground for the Rovers in recent times and the minor premiers will be keen to return to the winners list. A win on Saturday will book a spot in the Grand Final and earn promotion for the club to Premier C. In their two previous meetings this year, the Rovers were victorious over Oakleigh, however they have been in some great form in the back half of the season.
The Seniors will commence at 2:00pm and the Reserves take on West Brunswick starting at 11:40am.
All Hampton Rovers supporters are urged to get along to Sandringham in green & gold to show your support for both teams in what is a big day for the club.
Entry to the ground is $10 for adults, $5 for concession & children under 12 free. Please note: Strictly no dogs allowed inside finals venues.
