Rovers face Prahran at Toorak Park

Following a strong showing in the opening round of the 2018 season, the Rovers travel to Toorak Park to take on reigning premiers Prahran Assumption.

The Rovers go into the clash high on confidence and with a few returning regulars from suspensions. Last weekend, Hampton defeated Kew who were also relegated from Premier C section, by 61 points at Boss James Reserve. With no injuries from the opening game, there was strong competition for spots and it was another big Thursday night at the club with over 100 meals served.

The Seniors get underway at 2pm with the Reserves, who also won last week, at 11:40am. Get along and cheer on the boys as they look to make it two from two. Look out for a big name making his return in the Ressies.

If you’re unable to get to the game, you can follow the live scores via the Rovers website. Some people were unable to find the scores last week – make sure you go in via the Rovers site to avoid any issues!

The Thirds were back in action last week for the first time in a few years and recorded a solid win over Swinburne University. This week then boys face Melbourne High at Boss James Reserve commencing at 2pm. Great to see the likes of Matt Innes, Tom Youl and Zeke Lewis, to name just a few, back at the club and playing in the Thirds. Last week coach Andrew McGregor also announced Adam Power as captain with Vincent Camera vice-captain.

The Senior Women take on Ajax at Boss James Reserve at 10:30am and will be looking for another strong performance against an experienced Ajax side.

The U19s have an early game – 9:20am at Monash University Clayton against the Monash Blues and will be keen to open their 2018 account following a disappointing loss in round one.
