Final Round v Old Mentonians

Hampton Rovers take on Old Mentonians at the Keysborough Playing Fields on Saturday in the final round of the season while the U19 Two’s face Oakleigh in the Semi Final at Scammell Reserve.

With relegation now confirmed for the Rovers, the boys will be looking to finish on a strong note and win their seventh game of the season. Old Mentonians still have a chance of making finals, depending on other results, so will be switched on from the first bounce.

The Rovers have a few changes to the side owing to injury and the VAFA Tribunal, but it’s still a strong 22 that’ll take the field for the club’s final game in Premier C for at least a season. Great to see U19 captain Scott Ebbott called up to make his senior debut for the club.

The Seniors kick-off at 2pm with the Ressies at 11:40am, at the Mentone Grammar School Keysborough Playing Fields on Springvale Road.

The Under 19 Two’s finished sixth on the ladder and face Oakleigh Krushers in the Semi Final on Saturday at WA Scammell Reserve, commencing at 11:40am. Bizarre ever-changing VAFA rules has meant Sam Care has had to exclude a few regulars from his line-up but the Rovers have a strong side in and will be looking for a win against the third-placed opposition. During the year, the ledger is square at one win each between the two sides.

The club encourages all supporters to get along to the start U19s Final then head over to Keysborough for the Seniors.

Following the day’s action, we welcome everyone back to Boss James Reserve for end of season drinks.
