Carny to represent U19 Big V

Christian Carnovale has been selected in the final Big V side to face AFL Victoria Country at Frankston on Saturday.

Christian captained the team last year but will be able focus on putting in a solid performance this year with a new captain announced. The Hampton Rovers captain has had another great season to-date for the club.

The final side was announced Thursday evening with the official jumper presentation at Sportscover Arena.

The U19’s Challenge Cup kicks off at 11:30am on Saturday at Frankston Oval and will be followed by the Brian Molony Cup between the senior sides at 2:15pm. Admission is $10 – pensioners and U15 free.

The full team can be seen on the VAFA website here >

UPDATE: The VAFA were gallant in defeat, they showcased elite talent and determination as they came from 23 points down at the last break and fell agonisingly short by just four points against the Country. Christian Carnovale was outstanding throughout the entire game – named in the best players. Later in the day, the senior side defeated AFL Victoria by 82 points.
