Hampton Rovers are on the road Saturday, facing Williamstown CYMS at Burbank Oval, in round five of the 2017 VAFA Premier C season.
The Rovers are coming off a strong win over Old Ivanhoe and will be looking for a strong showing against the CY’s, looking to claim the third win of the season.
Saturday’s game was recently moved to Burbank Oval, home of VFL club Williamstown Seagulls. It’s the CY’s only game of the season at the venue and while their regular home ground, Fearon Reserve, is being resurfaced, the club has been playing its home games at Altona. Rovers fans may recall the last time the two teams met at Williamstown in 2013 and it was played on an absolutely mud heap, thankfully Burbank Oval will offer a far superior playing surface for this fixture.
Hampton has two changes to its side from last week and confidence continues to grow amongst the young playing group. The Seniors kick-off at 2:00pm with the Reserves, also looking for consecutive wins, commencing at 11:40am. Get along and cheer on the boys.
Also on Saturday, the Under 19 (1) side hosts Old Trinity at Boss James Reserve commencing at 2:00pm.
The Under 19 (2) side is at Melbourne High School in South Yarra, taking on MHSOB, also commencing at 2:00pm.
The Women play on Sunday, looking to make it three wins in a row when they host Ajax at Castlefield Reserve Ludstone Street, starting at 3:30pm. We encourage all supporters to get along and show their support for the girls.
