Vale Michael Campion

The club is saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Campion.

Michael has been involved in at the club one way or another over a long period including Auskick coordinator, junior team manager and assistant for many years.

He has been a financial supporter of the club and when Roverians was formed, was the inaugural number one ticket holder.

As CEO of Staff Australia, Michael provided employment and advice for many Hampton Rovers people.

Michael’s son Jack is a current senior registered player at the club while wife Cath is a Life Member and has provided years of service to the club.

Funeral Mass for Michael Joseph Campion will be offered at St Agnes Catholic Church, Spring Rd, Highett on THURSDAY (Apr. 6, 2017) commencing at 1.30 pm. A Private Cremation In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Myeloma Foundation of Australia – online or envelopes available at the Church. This will be followed by a celebration of Michael’s life with drinks and supper at Sandringham Yacht Club, Jetty Rd Sandringham at 4pm.

The club sends its condolences to Catherine, Jack, Harrison and Ella.

Players in all five Hampton Rovers senior teams will wear black armbands in round one in a mark of respect for Michael.
