The Rovers host their final home game of the year this Saturday and it’s a big home game lunch to bring the curtain down on 2016 at Boss James Reserve. We welcome everyone along.
It’s a triple-header with the Under 19s kicking-off proceedings at 9:20am, taking on local rivals Old Brighton. It’s the final round for the young Rovers and a win will see the boys jump their opposition on the ladder, however it still won’t be enough to sneak into the finals.
The Reserves follow at 11:40am against St Bedes/Mentone Tigers with the Seniors at 2:00pm. It’s the penultimate round for the Seniors and they’ll be looking to cause an upset against the second-placed Tigers and make it two wins in a row. The boys close out the 2016 season next Saturday at Camberwell Sports Ground against Old Scotch.
The last home game luncheon is always a big one and we encourage everyone to get along with a special invitation out to all the Under 19 parents. We’ve already got a few tables of parents booked, as well as tables from the junior section of the club and those who’ve supported us consistently throughout the year. Early indications show it’ll be another big attendance with over 80 bookings thus far so please reserve your seat or table ASAP to ensure you don’t miss out.
The bar is open from midday with the luncheon getting underway at 12:30pm. The cost is just $30 per head which includes a main meal, cheese & biscuits, with drinks available at bar prices. Hear from the President about the year that has been and plans for 2017.

Following the senior game, stick around at the club where the bar will be open from the final siren until late, with match awards at around 5:30pm.
