Hampton Rovers host Old Haileybury on Saturday and Brayden Maynard, Peter Maynard and Jason Cripps will be special guests at the Home Game Luncheon. Book your spot now!
It’s the penultimate home game of the season and after last week’s sold-out lunch, it’s expected to be another great one, however numbers are on the low side as we recuperate from last Saturday! Still, there’s around 50 already booked and we expect this number to climb as edge closer. The quality of guest speakers is worth the $30 entry alone, let alone the best meal in the Ammo’s.
Brayden Maynard is in his second season at Collingwood after being picked at number 30 in the 2014 AFL Draft. He played 53 junior games at the Rovers and made his AFL debut in round 14 last year in front of 75,000 at the MCG against the Hawks.
His father, Peter Maynard, has coached various Rovers junior teams over the years and in his playing days, played eight games for Melbourne, but made his mark at Glenelg in the SANFL where he played 196 matches and is in the club’s Hall of Fame.
Jason Cripps is a father at the Rovers and played 60 games for St Kilda between 1996 and 2002. Since then he has had assistant coaching roles at the Saints and Port Adelaide before becoming the Power’s Melbourne-based list manager, a position he still holds today.
Reserve your spot now for the Rovers Home Game Lunch. The cost is just $30 per head and includes a main meal, cheese & biscuits, with drinks available at bar prices. Club open from midday with the lunch commencing at 12:30pm. Book online by clicking the link below or contact Gary Nash on 0407 313 054.
Commencing at 2pm, the Seniors take on ninth-placed Old Haileybury. The Rovers defeated the Bloods earlier in the season and will be looking to get the win in the return leg at the Boss. For Hampton, it’s taken until round 14 to have the least number of changes for a game – two. The boys are fired up and ready to hit the ground running. The Reserves kick-off at 11:40am.
Also on Saturday, the Under 19s are away at EE Gunn Reserve to face arch rivals Ormond, commencing at 2:00pm.
We encourage everyone to get along to the club Saturday and come into the rooms following the game. The bar will be open from the final siren until late with match awards at 5:30pm.
