Rovers host Beaumaris

Hampton Rovers host local rivals Beaumaris at Boss James Reserve on Saturday in round six of the VAFA season while the Under 19s are at Brighton Beach Oval.

It’s a big day at the Boss with the first of three Hall of Fame Luncheons, kicking-off at the early time of 11:30am. Four legends of the club will be inducted and it’s not too late to book your spot. Click here to read more.

Last time the two teams met in 2011, it was the Rovers won both the seniors and reserves on the road, but it’s somewhat different circumstances for this round six clash. The Rovers are without a win and Beaumaris are yet to lose and favourites for the Premier B flag.

Still, the young Rovers side will be giving it their all, and a local derby always bring more out of players. The Sharks have named ex-Saint Stephen Milne at full-forward, despite some doubt if he’ll play, while ex-Rover Daniel Gribbin is beside him in the pocket.

Three changes to the Rovers side as the boys push to put a four-quarter effort together. Get along and show your support – the Seniors kick-off at 2pm with the Reserves at 11:40am. Live scores are available on the Rovers website, mobile site and Twitter.

The Under 19s take on top-side Williamstown CYMS in a “home” clash at Old Brighton’s ground – Brighton Beach Oval, commencing at 11am.

We welcome back everyone into the rooms following the Seniors clash with the bar open until late.
