How the new scoreboard may look
The long-awaited electronic scoreboard for Boss James Reserve will soon become a reality with the project approved and set to launch in the second half of the season.
There has been a lot of work undertaken behind the scenes planning for the new addition for over two years and last Friday, both the Hampton Rovers Football Club and Hampton Cricket Club approved the project.
The new scoreboard will be located in the south-east pocket of Boss James Reserve. It’ll be 4.10 metres wide by 2.05 metres high, perched 3 metres off the ground. As well as match scores, the board will be capable of displaying sponsors, promotions, club messaging, player photos and even full video, adding to the match day experience for supporters and players alike. Its position will be optimised for where the majority of the crowd is situated – in front of the pavilion, while its viewing-angle will allow just about everyone to see it, even cars parked on the wing.
The scoreboard will introduce exciting new sponsorship opportunities, promoting brands at Hampton Rovers games like never before. Have your brand displayed after a goal is kicked or during breaks – logos or even video. More information on sponsorship opportunities will be available soon. To express your interest in the meantime, please email sponsorship@hamptonrovers.com.au.
The project is being 100% funded by the two tenants of Boss James Reserve – the Hampton Rovers Football Club and Hampton Cricket Club.
It’s hoped the new scoreboard will be installed and commissioned in time for the seniors round 11 home game against Monash Blues on June 25.
With the recent installation of the new lights and continual improvement of the Wright-Scarlett Pavilion, the new electronic scoreboard will take Boss James Reserve to another level, ensuring it’s the number one community ground in Bayside.
