Hampton Rovers travel to Monash University in Clayton on Saturday to face the Monash Blues as the boys look to notch their first victory of the season.
With losses against Parkdale, Ajax and Brighton, the Rovers are one of three teams without a win thus far in 2016, with Fitzroy and Monash also sitting on zero points. At least one of those teams will have a win on the board come 4:30pm Saturday and the Rovers have the ability to do so following improved performances recently.
Five changes to the senior side for Saturday’s round four clash. Great to see Jay Dillon return from injury after solid performances in the reserves.
Get along and show your support at the Frearson Oval at Monash University. Reserves kick-off at 11:40am with the Seniors at 2:00pm.
You can get Live Scores of the seniors and all VAFA games via the Rovers website and mobile site. And don’t forget to follow the Rovers on our social media channels to stay up-to-date with all the action: Facebook (fb.com/hamptonrovers), Twitter (@HRAFC) and Instagram (hamptonrovers).
Also on Saturday, the Under 19s travel to Como Park to face Old Geelong commencing at 9:20am. The boys will be looking for their second win of the season against the winless OGS.
NEXT SATURDAY, the Rovers host Fitzroy at Boss James Reserve and it’s a big day especially for the ladies of our club. With Mother’s Day the following Sunday, our home game luncheon is dedicated to the women of our club. We’ve got former Bayside Mayor Felicity Frederico who’ll be talking about “The Grass Ceiling” and how to encourage women to be more involved in sport in the community. And from 7pm, it’s our first big social function of the year – Ladies Night!
