Rovers face off against Jackas

The Hampton Rovers travel to Albert Park on Saturday to take on Ajax in round two of the VAFA season, while the U19s are away at Peninsula.

The Rovers suffered a 19-point defeat at the hands of Parkdale Vultures in round one following a disappointing first half. But there were plenty of positives after the main break and the boys will be looking to take that form into Saturday’s clash.

The venue has been confirmed as Gary Smorgon Oval at Albert Park after it previously listed as TBC, due to the clean-up after the Grand Prix. Car parking is always an issue at Albert Park. Limited parking is available on Aughtie Drive or park in Canterbury Road or near Fraser Street and walk across the light rail track to the ground.

The seniors commence at 2:00pm with the Reserves at 11:40am. You can get Live Scores of the seniors and all VAFA games via the Rovers website and mobile site. And don’t forget to following the Rovers on our social media channels to stay up-to-date with all the action: Facebook (fb.com/hamptonrovers), Twitter (@HRAFC) and Instagram (hamptonrovers).

The Under 19s travel to Narambi Reserve in Mornington to face Peninsula Old Boys commencing at 11:00am.
