The Rovers play Mazenod this Saturday at Boss James Reserve in the final practice match before the 2016 VAFA season, while on Sunday afternoon it’s the Season Launch at Hotel Brighton.
It’s a rare opportunity for a practice game at the home of the Rovers due to the late start to season and we welcome all supporters along to see how the boys are shaping up ahead of the new season. There will be food and drinks available and the bar will be open. There will also be merchandise and 2016 membership for sale.
There are three games with the Under 19s kicking-off the action at 10:00am, followed by the Reserves at 12 midday and the Seniors at 2:00pm.
The Rovers played their first practice game prior to the Labour Day long weekend with a win over Ormond, before a loss to SFL division one side Mordialloc last week. Several returning senior players are set to bolster the line-up ahead of the final tune-up prior to the new season.
The 2016 Hampton Rovers Season Launch will be held this Sunday afternoon, 3rd of April, at Hotel Brighton. We welcome all players, family and supporters for a casual afternoon as we launch the new season! New senior coach Owen Lalor will announce the 2016 leadership group and captain and we’ll also hear from new senior President Steve Anderson ahead of the new season.
