The Hampton Rovers Football Club will not be fielding a Thirds team in 2016 but plan to return in 2017.
A number of departures over the off-season meant that depth in the senior ranks took a hit and while there were still plenty of numbers still keen and we may have reached close to a full side, overall numbers would have been light-on and once a few injuries hit or long away trips, the club felt we would have really struggled to field a side.
The club always aims to field at least four senior teams in the VAFA and therefore planning will commence to once again field a Thirds team in 2017. We encourage all players to stick around, play in the ressies and support the club throughout the year.
