Daniel Corp has claimed the Bob Cave Medal for the first time, winning the Hampton Rovers Best & Fairest ahead of fellow co-captain Leigh Fletcher at last Saturday’s Presentation Night.
Corpy finished on 152 and collected votes in 15 of the 17 games he played in 2015 and claimed maximum votes on three occasions and had 10 or more votes in 10 games throughout the season.
Leigh Fletcher, who has won it five times since 2009, was second on 145 votes while Adam McNeil was third and polled 95 votes.
In the Reserves, Ben Kezilas won the Dom Devola Medal ahead of Daniel Andersen and Stephen Anderson, while Vinnie Camera won his second-consecutive Thirds B&F.
The McGregor Medal for the Best & Fairest in the Under 19s was won by Darcy Merlo ahead of Jack Stewart and Ryan Fogarty. Ryan was also recognised for winning the 2015 VAFA U19 Section 3 competition B&F.
The Best Clubman was awarded to Matthew Gray who has done an outstanding job as President of the club for the past three seasons.
It was a great night at the Sandringham Football Club with 130 people in attendance. Outgoing senior coach Guy Martyn and President Matthew Gray spoke of their three years in charge and looked ahead to 2016 for what promises to be the continuation of a great era for the club.
