No finals action for the Seniors this year and so the season comes to an end this weekend, which means this Thursday is the final selection night of the year and we encourage all players and supporters down to the club.
Former Essendon star Sean Wellman will be guest speaker on the evening. The former defender played 212 AFL games including 178 at Essendon, retiring at the end of the 2004 season. Since then he has been an assistant coach at Melbourne, Western Bulldogs and Essendon.
The Rovers face local rivals Parkdale Vultures in the final round of the home & away season on Saturday at Gerry Green Reserve. While Hampton is safe and guaranteed Premier B action in 2016, the Vultures must win to have any chance of avoiding relegation.
We encourage all supporters to Boss James Reserve for the final selection night of the year. The Bar will be open from 6pm with dinner available from 7:15pm and the teams for the final game of the year, a replay of last year’s Grand Final, announced shortly after.
We look forward to seeing you all at the club!
