The Rovers are at home for the final time this year on Saturday when Ajax visit Boss James Reserve in the penultimate round. It’s the last Home Game Lunch of 2015 and we welcome everyone along.
The two clubs have shared a great rivalry over many years and while two wins ahead of Hampton, it was the Rovers that won the round 8 encounter, by 28 points at Albert Park. After a mostly-positive performance last week against third-placed Old Melburnians, it’s shaping up to be a great contest on Saturday. Seniors kick-off at 2pm with the Reserves at 11:40am.
Great to see young gun Lachy Hayres come in for his first game with the Rovers. Lachy previously played with North Shore in NSW before moving to Victoria and playing with the Sandringham Dragons and Zebras this season. Mark Devereaux returns from suspension while hopefully Luke Verma will also be in the green & gold.
The final home game of the season is always a big one and produces a special atmosphere. While the seniors won’t be participating in finals action after two-straight campaigns resulting in back-to-back flags, this season has still produced a pass-mark after consolidating the club’s position in Premier B section.
For the last lunch of the year, the club would like to extend an invitation to all parents, partners and family of the players. Attendances have been as strong as ever in 2015 and the final lunch of the year will be no different. Just $30 per head for the best lunch in the Ammo’s.
To reserve your spot, please contact Gary Nash on gnash@jte.com.au or 0407 313 054, or get in touch with Dean Lovig. View further details >
Also on Saturday, the Under 19s have a huge game in their final round of the home & away season. A win against third-placed Old Carey at Bulleen will assure the Rovers of a spot in the finals. The boys will be getting a bus to and from Boss James Reserve.
LIVE SCORES will be available on the Hampton Rovers website (click here) and mobile site with updates throughout the day on Twitter (@HRAFC). We’ll also have updates from the U19s game on Twitter. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram & Facebook also (hamptonrovers).
The bar will re-open at the Boss at the conclusion of the seniors game and we welcome all supporters to stick around for a few.
