After a two-week break, footy is back this Saturday and the Rovers make the short trip to Brighton Beach Oval to face local rivals Old Brighton in a huge game.
Before the break, Hampton returned to the winners list with a good victory against Mazenod away from home while Old Brighton have won their past two, against Mazenod and most recently, Caulfield.
Both teams have several players returning from injury with the lay-off coming at a good time for both clubs.
Old Brighton sit third on the Premier B ladder on seven wins, with the Rovers fifth on five wins. Last time they met, it was Old Brighton winning by 29 points at a wet Boss James Reserve on Anzac Day.
Brighton Beach Oval is in superb condition following a resurfacing over the off-season and we encourage all Rovers supporters to get along on Saturday and cheer on the boys. The Seniors kick-off at 2:00pm with the Reserves at 11:40am.
The club will have two tables at the pre-game luncheon and our allocation is now full.
LIVE SCORES of the main game (and all senior VAFA games) are available on the Hampton Rovers website and mobile site (click here) as well as updates all day on Twitter (@HRAFC) & Instagram (hamptonrovers). Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook also.
Also on Saturday, the Under 19s will be aiming to make it five consecutive wins when they host bottom-placed St Bernards at Boss James Reserve, commencing at 2:00pm.
Unfortunately the Thirds game has been cancelled due to unavailabilities/injury.
