Two Hampton Rovers players will represent the VAFA this weekend with Daniel Corp and Adam McNeil selected to take on Victoria Country in Bendigo on Saturday afternoon.
The VAFA Premier B – Division 4 representative side takes on Victoria Country (No. 2) commencing at 1:10pm at Bendigo’s Queen Elizabeth Oval. It’s the second of three matches with the U19s first up and the main VAFA v Vic Country game at 4:05pm.
Hampton Rovers is one of six clubs boasting two representatives in the side. 11 Premier B players were picked in the Premier B-Division Four side, with coach Simon Williams admitting their experience will be instrumental on the big stage. View the full team >
“Any experience is good experience, particularly at this level,” he told VAFA.com.au.
“It’s a finals-like atmosphere and intensity (against Victoria Country) so that’ll be really good to have those guys’ experience.”
Both Corp and McNeil have shown great form for the Rovers in 2015 with each featuring in all 11 games.
This is the second of two weekends off for all Premier – Premier C teams, with the fifth-placed Rovers back in action next Saturday against local rivals Old Brighton away.
